From August 29th to September 4th, the town of Champéry ( Swiss resort in the region of the Portes Du Soleil) will host the World Championships MTB & TrailUCI.
After Châteaux d'Oex ( 1997) and Lugano (2003) Switzerland will organise for the third time the World Championships. The disciplines represented will be the Olympic Cross-Country, the Downhill, the Four cross and Trial.
In recent years, Champery has become a worldwide reference in the organisation of biking events,all thanks to the technical courses both in Cross-Country or Downhill.
After two years outside of Europe(2009 in Australia and 2010 in Canada) the return of the World Championships should be marked by a hugh crowd of spectators, 50 000 enthusiastic fans are expected at the event in Champéry.
