Thoughts are now turning towards spring and summer in the stunning Abondance Valley— if you think the mountains are beautiful in the winter, you should see them in the summer!
Our pretty, family run, Chalet Le Dragon in La Chapelle d’Abondance, Portes du Soleil, France, continues to operate during the summer months on a B&B or self-catering basis — you can book either a single room for a few nights or have the exclusive use of our chalet for your summer holiday or short break — the choice is yours!
The summer in this area of the Alps is truly a trip to paradise! The wonderful weather, views, walks and for the more energetic, mountain biking and climbing are essential summer experiences, with most of the major chairlifts open during the summer to take hikers and mountain bikers to the various summits. If you dare, try “Fantasticable” — a 2.5km hair raising zip wire across the valley at around 100 km per hour!!
Chalet Le Dragon has all the facilities you require including a BRAND NEW OUTDOOR HOT TUB for the 2011 season to rest tired legs after a day hiking or biking!
